CBSE Introduces New Link for Class 12 Re-Evaluation Applications
New Website Link for Re-Evaluation
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched a new link aimed at assisting Class 12 students who are applying for re-evaluation. This decision comes after numerous candidates encountered technical difficulties while trying to access their evaluated answer sheets.
Relief for Students Amid Technical Issues
This initiative is anticipated to ease the process for students who faced challenges completing their applications due to heavy website traffic and frequent crashes since the re-evaluation window opened on May 19, 2026.
CBSE's Update on Re-Evaluation Applications
In a recent announcement, CBSE confirmed that the technical issues affecting the application portal have been addressed, and a new application link is now available for students seeking re-evaluation.
Students interested in re-evaluation must first request scanned copies of their evaluated answer sheets. After reviewing these copies, they can apply for verification, rechecking, or re-evaluation if they suspect any of the following:
- Incorrect marks were awarded
- Errors in totaling
- Improper evaluation of answers
It is crucial for students to submit their applications within the deadline set by the board.
Acknowledgment of Technical Glitches
Prior to the introduction of the new link, CBSE had recognized the technical difficulties students were experiencing while attempting to apply for scanned answer sheets.
The board issued a notice indicating that experts were addressing the issues and anticipated that the portal would be operational again by 2:00 PM on May 20.
Extension of Application Deadline
In response to numerous complaints, CBSE has extended the deadline for applying for scanned copies of answer sheets.
Originally set for May 22, 2026, the deadline has now been pushed to May 23, 2026, allowing students additional time to complete their applications without further technical disruptions.
Reasons Behind Re-Evaluation Requests
The release of the CBSE Class 12 Results for 2026 has led to significant reactions from students, parents, and educators, with many expressing concerns over unexpectedly low scores.
Reports suggest that the newly implemented On-Screen Marking (OSM) system may have contributed to these issues.
In light of these concerns, CBSE and the Education Ministry held a press conference on May 17, announcing the commencement of the re-evaluation process for Class 12 students starting May 19.
Understanding the Re-Evaluation Process
The re-evaluation process typically involves several steps:
- Request scanned copies of evaluated answer sheets
- Carefully review the answer sheets
- Apply for verification of marks or re-evaluation if discrepancies are identified
- Await the board's final revised results
Students are encouraged to regularly check the official CBSE portal for updates regarding links, timelines, and instructions related to the re-evaluation process.
