CBSE Class 12 Results 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the results for the Class 12 Board Examinations for the year 2026. This year, the overall pass rate stands at 85.20%. The region of Thiruvananthapuram has emerged as the top performer, boasting a remarkable pass percentage of 95.62%. Additionally, Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) have shown exceptional results, with pass rates of 98.55% and 98.47%, respectively.

High Achievers:
In the 2026 CBSE Class 12 examinations, around 1 lakh students achieved scores above 90%. Specifically, 94,028 students secured 90% or higher, representing 5.32% of all successful candidates.


Top Performing Regions:
Thiruvananthapuram leads with a pass percentage of 95.62%, followed by Chennai at 93.84%, and Bengaluru at 93.19%.


Decline in Pass Percentage:
This year, 1,780,365 students registered for the exams, with 1,768,968 appearing. Out of these, 1,507,109 passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 85.20%. This marks a decrease of 3.19% compared to last year's pass rate of 88.39%.


Toppers List and Compartment Results

No Toppers List Released:
CBSE has decided not to publish a toppers' list for the 2026 Class 12 examinations, continuing a policy established in 2020 to alleviate competition and stress among students. However, individual schools may still recognize their top performers.


Compartment Results:
This year, over 163,800 students received compartments, accounting for approximately 9.26% of the total candidates. These students will have the chance to retake their subjects in supplementary examinations.
