CBSE Class 12 Re-Evaluation Update: COEMPT Eduteck's Role and Security Measures
Update on CBSE Class 12 Answer Sheet Re-Evaluation
A crucial update has emerged regarding the re-evaluation of answer sheets for CBSE Class 12. Reports indicate that COEMPT Eduteck will persist in its role of scanning answer sheets for the re-evaluation process, employing its On-Screen Marking (OSM) platform. To enhance security and prevent data breaches, CBSE has taken steps to migrate all answer sheet data from COEMPT's servers to its own infrastructure.
Initial reports suggested that COEMPT Eduteck’s 'OnMark' platform would be excluded from the re-evaluation process due to security issues, with indications that CBSE would manage the re-evaluation on its own platform. However, CBSE has now reiterated its trust in COEMPT Eduteck’s OSM system.
Controversy Surrounding the On-Screen Marking System
The OSM portal, overseen by CBSE and COEMPT Eduteck, has faced scrutiny after some Class 12 students claimed that the scanned versions of their answer sheets did not correspond with their handwriting. This has sparked concerns among students and parents about possible inaccuracies in the On-Screen Marking system.
Re-Evaluation Application Deadline
On May 5, CBSE announced via its social media platform X (formerly Twitter) that students could submit re-evaluation applications until June 7, extending the deadline from the original June 6 date. A significant number of students have already utilized CBSE’s post-result portal, with many applying for re-evaluation and others seeking verification of their marks.
