CBSE Board Exams 2026: Postponements and Updates Amidst Confusion
CBSE Board Exam 2026 Postponed
CBSE Board Exam 2026 Postponed: The CBSE Board exams for Class 10 and 12 commenced on February 17th this year. Examination centers have been established nationwide and internationally for the 2026 CBSE Board Exams, with over 4.5 million students registered globally. However, due to escalating tensions in several Middle Eastern nations over the last two days, students are uncertain about the CBSE Board Exams scheduled for today, March 2, 2026.
Numerous misleading circulars claiming the cancellation of the CBSE Board Exams have been circulating on social media. This has led to confusion among students regarding which countries have had their exams canceled by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). In response, the CBSE issued two circulars yesterday: one warning against misinformation and another confirming the postponement of the 2026 CBSE Board Exams in various Middle Eastern countries.
Will CBSE board exams be held today?
Yes, the CBSE board exams will proceed today, March 2, 2026, in most regions, including India. The situation in India remains stable, thus there is no reason to delay or cancel the exams. Students are encouraged to arrive at their exam centers punctually. Today, 10th-grade students will be taking Hindi Paper 1 and Paper 2, while 12th-grade students will be assessed in subjects such as Urdu Elective, Sanskrit Elective, Music, Kathak, Front Office Operations, Urdu Core, Insurance, and Electrical Technology.
CBSE Board Exams 2026 will not be held today in 7 countries
Due to the ongoing situation in parts of the Middle East, the Central Board of Secondary Education has decided to postpone the CBSE 10th and 12th Board Exams 2026, originally set for today, in seven countries: Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The board will soon announce new exam dates. Additionally, the board will assess the situation regarding the CBSE exams scheduled for March 5, 2026, on March 3.
