JEE Advanced 2026 Result: In a remarkable achievement, Shubham Kumar from Gaya, Bihar, has secured the All India Rank (AIR) 1 in the JEE Advanced 2026 by scoring 330 out of 360. Previously, he achieved a perfect score in JEE Main, earning AIR 6. Coming from a humble background, Shubham's success serves as an inspiration for countless engineering aspirants across the nation. His father, Shivkumar, runs a hardware store, while his mother, Kanchan Devi, is a homemaker. His elder sister is pursuing a B.Tech in Computer Science from IIT Patna.


Two Years of Hard Work

Shubham attributes his success to the unwavering support of his family, disciplined preparation, guidance from teachers, and two years of relentless effort.


He stated, 'The educational environment at home, encouragement from my father, emotional support from my mother, and guidance from my teachers played a crucial role in my success. I always listened carefully to my teachers and followed their instructions.'


Making Every Subject Easy

Sharing his preparation strategy, the 17-year-old student mentioned that whenever he found a subject challenging, he would reach out to his teachers for clarification. He said, 'Whenever I struggled to understand a topic, I kept asking questions. My teachers explained every concept from the basics, which strengthened my foundation.'


Shubham dedicated six to eight hours daily to self-study and made it a habit to revise the lessons taught in class on the same day. Regular practice and continuous work on weaker areas were key components of his preparation. He prepared for the exams at Allen Career Institute in Kota.


Turning Pressure into Strength

He remarked, 'Preparing for JEE often brings pressure, but I never let it become a weakness. I transformed every challenge into motivation.' Reflecting on his future plans, Shubham expressed his ambition to pursue a B.Tech in Computer Science at IIT Bombay. He added, 'I was completely focused on my goal. Now, I want to study Computer Science at IIT Bombay.'
