RPSC Teacher Recruitment Update

Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has provided a significant update regarding the Senior Teacher (Secondary Education) recruitment examination set for 2026. The examination is confirmed to take place from July 12 to July 18, 2026, adhering to the previously established timeline. Despite requests for postponement and reopening of applications, the Commission has affirmed that all preparations are finalized, and the schedule will remain unchanged. As a result, more than 1.25 million candidates are expected to participate on the designated dates.

Additionally, the Commission has released Corrigendum No. 11/2026-27, which modifies the number of available vacancies for the recruitment. Initially, the number of Senior Teacher positions was raised to 10,537; however, it has now been adjusted to 9,651 in accordance with regulatory guidelines. The Commission explained that recruitment rules allow for an increase of up to 50 percent over the initially advertised vacancies, leading to this revision.

Commission's Statement in High Court

During the hearings at the Jaipur High Court concerning petitions for exam postponement and reopening of applications, the Commission articulated its position. It stated that the recruitment process is being executed in strict compliance with established rules, and any increase in vacancies must adhere to set limits. This rationale underpinned the issuance of the revised vacancy count.

Details on Subject-wise Vacancies

RPSC has also disclosed the updated subject-wise vacancy details. However, the classification of posts by category will be provided separately. The Commission has assured that all other conditions of the recruitment advertisement—including eligibility criteria, age limits, examination scheme, and selection process—remain intact. Only the total number of vacancies has been modified. Candidates are encouraged to frequently check the Commission's official website for the latest notifications and exam-related updates.
