Key Information on the Uttar Pradesh Post-Matric Scholarship

The Uttar Pradesh Social Welfare Department has announced that fresh registrations for the Post-Matric Scholarship, applicable for students beyond Class 10 (excluding Classes 11 and 12), were accepted until October 31. Students must now ensure that they submit the hard copy of their application form, along with all necessary documents, to their respective colleges by the new deadline of November 4, 2026.

Those who have registered but have not yet submitted their forms to their colleges should act promptly. Missing the submission deadline will result in forfeiting the scholarship.

Required Documents for Application Submission:

Applicants must attach the following documents with their application form: Aadhaar card, PAN card, income certificate, birth certificate, domicile/residence certificate, previous year’s mark sheet, fee receipt, a scanned copy of the bank passbook, caste certificate (if applicable), passport-sized photograph, and enrollment number.

Disbursement Schedule for Scholarship Funds:

Funds for scholarship renewals are expected to be disbursed between December 1 and December 10, 2026. After resolving any discrepancies in the data, a second round of disbursement may occur from January 16 to January 25, 2027. For new applicants, funds are scheduled for disbursement between December 21 and December 31, 2026, with a potential second round from January 27 to January 31, 2027.

It is important to note that there may be delays in scholarship disbursements. In such instances, funds could be transferred to students' accounts anytime between January and March. Regularly checking the status of your application is recommended.
