UPSC Recruitment 2026: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released a notification for the recruitment of 13 positions across different ministries and departments. The available roles include:



  • 1 Junior Technical Officer (Sugar Technology) at the National Sugar Institute, Kanpur (Department of Food and Public Distribution, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution).


  • 8 Assistant Legislative Counsel (Grade IV of the Indian Legal Service) in the Legislative Department of the Ministry of Law and Justice.


  • 3 Law Officer positions in the Land and Building Department of the Delhi Government.


  • 1 Specialist Grade-II (Junior Scale) – Cardiology at the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC).

Educational Requirements and Age Criteria

Candidates must have the following qualifications from a recognized institution:



  • A degree in Science or Engineering for the Junior Technical Officer role.


  • A degree in Law for the Assistant Legislative Counsel position.


  • A post-graduate degree in Cardiology (DM Cardiology) or an equivalent qualification for the Specialist Grade-II (Junior Scale) – Cardiology role.



Relevant experience of 2 to 7 years is required, depending on the position. The maximum age limit for applicants varies from 30 to 48 years based on the role, calculated as of the application deadline. Age relaxation is available for candidates from reserved categories as per regulations.


Selection Process and Salary

Candidates will be selected through application screening, a Recruitment Test (RT) or Combined Recruitment Test (CRT), followed by an interview. The monthly salary for selected candidates will range from Level 7 to Level 11 (under the 7th CPC), depending on the specific role, along with additional benefits and allowances.
