Important Update for GATE 2027 Candidates

Candidates gearing up for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2027 should note a significant change in the registration timeline. The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has altered the application schedule, meaning that the online registration will not start on the previously announced date. Instead, applicants can begin submitting their forms through the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) starting from August 27, 2026. Furthermore, the deadline for applications without incurring a late fee has been extended.

Exam Schedule and Details

The GATE 2027 examination will take place over six days, specifically on February 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, and 21, 2027. Results are expected to be announced on March 19, 2027. Introduction of New Paper

This year, GATE has introduced a new subject: Robotics and Automation (RA). Additionally, some syllabi have been updated, and changes have been made to specific paper codes, including those for Textile Engineering and Fiber Science.
