New Deadline for UGC NET June 2026 Applications


New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has once again extended the deadline for submitting applications for the UGC NET June 2026 examination. According to the latest public notice released on May 23, 2026, candidates can now submit their online applications until 11:50 PM on May 24, 2026. The deadline for payment of the examination fee has also been extended to May 24, 2026.


Additionally, the facility for making corrections in the application will be available from May 26 to May 28, 2026. The NTA stated that this extension was granted following requests from numerous candidates across the country. However, the NTA has made it clear that no further extensions will be provided.


Changes to UGC NET June 2026 Exam Dates

As per the official announcement, the revised schedule for the UGC NET June 2026 is as follows:



  • Final date for application submission: May 24, 2026 (by 11:50 PM)

  • Final date for fee payment: May 24, 2026 (by 11:50 PM)

  • Deadline for application corrections: May 26 to May 28, 2026 (by 11:50 PM)

  • Date of public notice release: May 23, 2026

  • Previously, the application process was set to conclude on May 23, 2026.

To complete the application process, candidates can follow these steps:



  • Visit the official website ugcnet.nta.nic.in.

  • Click on the UGC NET June 2026 registration link.

  • Register using the required credentials.

  • Carefully fill out the application form.

  • Upload the necessary documents and photographs.

  • Pay the examination fee via debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI.

  • Submit the form and download the confirmation page for future reference.

  • The NTA has reiterated that no further extensions will be granted.
