Important Update for TS TET Candidates

There is significant news for candidates participating in the Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test (TS TET). The Telangana School Education Department has released the admit cards for the TS TET scheduled for January 2026. Candidates can download their hall tickets by visiting the official website tgtet.aptonline.in. To access the admit card, candidates will need to enter their registration number and date of birth.

Exam Schedule for January 2026

The TS TET will be conducted over a span of 9 days and will consist of 15 sessions. The examination is set to take place from January 3 to January 20, 2026. It will be administered in a computer-based test format, with two shifts each day. The first shift will run from 09:00 AM to 11:30 AM, while the second shift will be from 02:00 PM to 04:30 PM. Results are expected to be announced between February 10 and February 16, 2026.

Details on Paper-1 and Paper-2

Candidates aspiring to teach grades 1 to 5 will need to take Paper-1 of the TS TET. Conversely, those aiming to teach grades 6 to 8 must pass Paper-2.

TET Requirement and Validity

According to directives from the Supreme Court, passing the TET is mandatory for all current and aspiring teachers. The education department has clarified that teachers working in government, private, and local body schools can participate in the TS TET organized by the state government or the CTET conducted by the central government. The TET certificate will remain valid for a lifetime.
