Important Update on SSC CHSL 2026

SSC CHSL 2026 Notification Released: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced a significant update regarding the recruitment for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL). The official notification for this recruitment has been published, detailing the opportunity for candidates to apply. This examination is set to fill 2,536 positions, including roles such as Data Entry Operator (DEO), Lower Division Clerk (LDC), and Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA).

The application window will be open from September 7 until October 7. During this timeframe, eligible candidates can submit their applications through the official SSC website. The application fee must be paid online, with a deadline of October 8. Additionally, a correction window for applications will be available from October 14 to October 16. The dates for the Tier 1 and Tier 2 computer-based tests will be announced at a later date.

Educational Qualifications Required for SSC CHSL 2026:

For the Data Entry Operator (DEO)/DEO Grade 'A' positions in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, as well as the Staff Selection Commission and the Ministry of Culture, candidates must have completed Class 12 in the Science stream with Mathematics from a recognized board or hold an equivalent qualification.

For the roles of LDC/JSA and DEO/DEO Grade 'A' (excluding the aforementioned DEO positions), candidates should have passed the Class 12 examination or an equivalent qualification from a recognized educational institution.

Those who are currently appearing for their Class 12 board exams or an equivalent are also eligible to apply, provided they have the necessary qualification documents by the cut-off date of October 7, 2026.

Application Process for SSC CHSL 2026:

Applications must be submitted online via the new SSC website or through the MySSC mobile application, which is available for download on the Google Play Store. A sample proforma for the One-Time Registration (OTR) and the online application form is included in the official notification.

Candidates who have not yet completed their One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new website should do so, as OTRs from the old site will not be valid. After completing the OTR, candidates can proceed to fill out the application form for the examination. Once generated, the OTR will be valid for all future examinations applied for through the new platform.

It is recommended that candidates opt for Aadhaar-based authentication during the OTR process. Applications from those using Aadhaar authentication will not be rejected due to issues with uploaded photographs or signatures. Furthermore, candidates will not need to provide a recent color photograph or original photo ID for entry at the examination venue.
