SBI Recruitment 2026: Exciting news for job seekers aiming to join the State Bank of India (SBI). The bank has released an official notification for the recruitment of Specialist Cadre Officers on a contractual basis, announcing a total of 207 job openings.

The 207 available positions for Specialist Cadre Officers include:



  • 1 Zonal Head (Retail)

  • 5 Regional Heads (RH)

  • 24 Relationship Manager-Team Leads

  • 9 Investment Specialists (IS)

  • 4 Investment Officers (IO)

  • 91 VP (Wealth) roles

  • 73 AVP (Wealth) roles


Application Process

How to Apply: The online application process commenced on September 4. Initially set to close on September 25, the deadline has now been extended to October 5. Candidates who missed the earlier deadline should visit the official SBI website to complete their application before the new cutoff.


Eligibility Criteria

Who Can Apply: Applicants must possess a graduation degree with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized institution or a postgraduate degree/diploma in relevant fields such as Finance, Business Management, or Economics. Professional qualifications like CA or CFA are also acceptable. Additionally, candidates should have 3 to 15 years of relevant experience, depending on the position.


Age Requirements

Age Limit: The minimum age for applicants ranges from 23 to 35 years, while the maximum age is set between 35 and 50 years, calculated as of August 31, 2026. Relaxations in the upper age limit will be provided for candidates from reserved categories as per regulations.


Selection Process

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on application scrutiny, document verification, shortlisting, and interviews (personal, telephonic, or video). The final merit list will be prepared after discussions regarding the Cost to Company (CTC). The annual CTC for selected candidates will range from ₹30.20 lakh to ₹97 lakh, depending on the position.


Application Fee

Application Fee: Candidates must pay an application fee of ₹750 for General, EWS, and OBC categories during the application process. SC, ST, and PwBD candidates are exempt from this fee. The initial appointment will be for five years, with a possibility of extension for an additional four years at the bank's discretion.
