Registration for NIOS Bridge Course



The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) is reopening its registration portal for the six-month 'Bridge Course' aimed at Elementary Teacher Education. The registration will be available from October 21 to October 28. Eligible candidates can apply by visiting the official website.

In response to requests from various stakeholders, including government educators, NIOS is providing another chance for eligible candidates to enroll. This course is designed to enhance the professional skills of teachers who possess a B.Ed. degree and wish to continue their teaching careers at the elementary level.


Mandatory Course for Certain Teachers


This bridge course has been developed under the guidance of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and the Ministry of Education, Government of India.


According to the established guidelines, elementary teachers appointed between June 28, 2018, and August 11, 2023, with a B.Ed. qualification, must complete this course to retain their service eligibility.
