Those who have already completed class 8 or have previously taken the selection test are not eligible.

Requirements for Class 11 Applicants

To apply for class 11, students must be enrolled in class 10 at a government-recognized school during the 2026-27 academic year. The date of birth for applicants must fall between June 1, 2010, and July 31, 2012. Applications can be submitted for a Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in the same district where the student is studying in class 10. Candidates can choose up to two streams and select three schools for each stream.

Entrance Exam Details

Exam Scheduled for April 10

The selection test for classes 9 and 11 will take place on April 10, 2027. Each exam will last two and a half hours and consist of multiple-choice questions. The class 9 exam will include 35 questions each from Mathematics and General Science, along with 15 questions each from Hindi and English. The class 11 exam will feature 20 questions each from Mental Ability, English, Science, Social Science, and Mathematics. Both exams will total 100 marks for 100 questions, with no negative marking.
