Application Deadline Approaches for UP Special TET



Candidates have until tomorrow, October 4, to submit their applications for the Uttar Pradesh Special Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2026. Interested individuals can complete the online application by visiting the official UPESSC website.


The last date for making any corrections to the submitted application form is October 8. It is crucial for candidates to finalize their applications before this deadline, as no extensions will be granted.


**Eligibility Criteria for Applicants**


To qualify for the Special TET exam, applicants must be current teachers in primary (Classes 1–5) or upper primary (Classes 6–8) schools. The age of candidates will be considered as of November 3, 2026, with a maximum age limit of 60 years. Age relaxation will be available for candidates from reserved categories.


**Registration Fees**


The registration fees for the Special TET exam differ based on the candidate's category: ₹1,000 for General, EWS, and OBC candidates; ₹500 for SC and ST candidates; and ₹300 for candidates with disabilities.


**Exam Schedule**


The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) will hold the Special TET exam on November 3, 2026, at various locations throughout Uttar Pradesh. The exam city slip will be available 10 days prior to the exam, and the admit card will be issued 4 days before the test.


**Exam Format**


The Special TET will feature 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), totaling 150 marks. Candidates will have 2 hours and 30 minutes to complete the exam, and there will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.
