IIT JAM 2027 Application Update

IIT-JAM 2027: The application deadline for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (IIT JAM) 2027 has been extended by IIT Kharagpur. Candidates can now register for this entrance exam until October 22, an extension from the previous deadline of October 19. This change offers an additional chance for those who missed the initial registration period.
As per the information available on the IIT JAM 2027 portal, the window for application corrections will commence on November 10. Candidates should note that a fee will be applicable for any corrections made during this period.

Entrance Examination Schedule

The IIT JAM 2027 examination is set to take place on February 14, 2027, across two sessions. The morning session will run from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, featuring papers in Chemistry, Geology, and Mathematics. The afternoon session will occur from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM, covering Biotechnology, Economics, Mathematical Statistics, and Physics.

Application Fee Structure

Applicants can select one or two test papers, adhering to the specified combinations and examination sessions. The application fee is determined by the candidate's category and the number of papers chosen. For a single test paper, female candidates and those from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), or Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories must pay ₹1,000, while other candidates are charged ₹2,000.

For two test papers, the fee is ₹1,350 for female, SC, ST, and PwD candidates, while all other candidates will need to pay ₹2,700.

Admission Opportunities

The JAM 2027 entrance exam will enable admission to 89 postgraduate programs in science and related fields across 23 IITs for the academic year 2027-28. IIT Kharagpur is tasked with overseeing the administration of this examination.
