Graduation Ceremony for 48th Flight Test Course at AFTPS

Seventeen officers from the Air Force Test Pilots School in Bengaluru have graduated from the 48th Flight Test Course. The ceremony, held on May 23, recognized the achievements of officers from the Indian Air Force, Army, and Navy. Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh emphasized the importance of dedication in enhancing India's defense capabilities and promoting indigenous technology. Special awards were presented to outstanding performers, highlighting excellence in flight evaluation and engineering. This event marks a significant step in modernizing the Indian Armed Forces.
 

Completion of Training at AFTPS


Seventeen officers from the Air Force Test Pilots School (AFTPS) in Bengaluru have successfully completed their training for the 48th Flight Test Course. This extensive program lasted 48 weeks and included thorough instruction on various technical and flight-related topics. The cohort consisted of 11 Test Pilots and 6 Flight Test Engineers, with the graduation ceremony taking place on May 23.


Diverse Participation from Armed Forces

Among the 17 graduates, the majority—14 officers—were from the Indian Air Force. The group also included one officer from the Indian Army and two from the Indian Navy. Following their training, these officers will be stationed at the Aircraft and Systems Testing Establishment (ASTE) in Bengaluru.


Recognition of Excellence

Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh, the Chief of the Indian Air Force, awarded certificates to the officers during the ceremony. Special trophies and awards were given to those who excelled in their training.


Outstanding Achievements Recognized

This year, Squadron Leader K.K. Singh received the ‘Suranjan Das Trophy’ for being the Best All-Round Test Pilot. Squadron Leader Aditya Jamadagni was honored with the ‘Chief of Air Staff Trophy’ for his exceptional performance in Flight Evaluation. Additionally, Wing Commander Abhinav Kumar was awarded the ‘Maharaja Hanumant Singh Sword’ for being the Best All-Round Flight Test Engineer.


Commitment to National Defense

In his address, Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh urged the officers to maintain their dedication and focus in their future roles. He highlighted their crucial role in modernizing the Indian Armed Forces and enhancing operational capabilities. He emphasized the importance of 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' (Self-Reliant India) and the need to support indigenous technology and equipment for a strong defense framework.

The Air Chief Marshal stressed the necessity of upholding high safety and quality standards in the development of new aircraft and defense systems. He encouraged the officers to work with integrity, precision, and excellence, ensuring that all systems and aircraft meet the operational demands of the armed forces.
