Last Day for CAT 2026 Registration

Today marks the final opportunity for candidates preparing to take the CAT 2026 exam to submit their applications. The registration window, managed by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore, will close at 5 PM on September 22, 2026. Those who have not yet applied can complete their registration on the official portal before the deadline.
IIM Indore has made it clear that there will be no extension of the registration period beyond this revised deadline. Therefore, candidates are advised to complete their application process promptly rather than waiting until the last moment.

Extended Deadline for Applications

The initial deadline for CAT 2026 applications was set for September 15. However, IIM Indore extended this deadline to September 22, 2026, to provide candidates with additional time.
To apply, candidates must first create a user ID and password through the New Candidate Registration process. After logging in, they will need to fill in personal details, educational qualifications, and other necessary information. Additionally, candidates must select their preferred IIM programs and test cities.

Application Fees for CAT 2026

This year, there has been a change in the application fee structure for CAT. The fees are categorized as follows:
• General/EWS/NC-OBC: ₹2,700
• SC/ST/PwD: ₹1,350
Payments can be made online, and candidates must upload their photographs and signatures in the specified format during the application process. If applicable, candidates should also submit their category certificates. Final-year students will need to provide a certificate in the prescribed format issued by their institution.

CAT 2026 Exam Date

The CAT 2026 examination is scheduled for November 29, 2026, which falls on a Sunday. The test will be conducted in a computer-based format across approximately 170 cities nationwide.
The exam will take place in three sessions, and candidates will receive information about their exam center and shift via their admit cards. Admit cards will be available for download starting November 4, 2026.
