Unemployed youth in Himachal Pradesh have a promising job opportunity as applications are now open for well-paying positions in Israel. According to Arvind Singh Chauhan, the Employment Officer for Mandi District, the Himachal Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation Limited is facilitating applications for home-based caregiver roles in Israel. The contract duration is set for two years, with a chance for renewal.

The monthly salary for these positions is 6,443.85 New Israeli Shekels (NIS), which translates to around ₹1.99 lakh per month based on current exchange rates. This salary encompasses the basic pay along with allowances for medical insurance, food, accommodation, and other necessary expenses. However, deductions will apply for insurance, accommodation, food, and other items as per the established guidelines. After these deductions, the net salary is expected to be around ₹1 lakh per month. The application deadline is September 1, 2026.

Candidates are required to have completed a minimum of 990 hours of recognized training related to caregiving services, including On-the-Job Training (OJT), and must possess a certificate recognized by a competent Indian regulatory authority. Alternatively, applicants should hold a diploma in Nursing, Physiotherapy, Nurse Assistant, or Midwifery from a recognized training institute. Qualifications such as GDA, ANM, GNM, B.Sc. Nursing, or Post B.Sc. Nursing are also acceptable.

Selected candidates will need to cover expenses estimated at around ₹1,47,086 before deployment and contract signing. This amount may vary and includes costs for registration, medical examinations, police reports, passport fees (if necessary), interview video recording fees, and the first installment for the 'basket of services' provided by the placement bureau in Israel. Additionally, candidates must also pay for their air travel to and from Israel.
