Important Notice for JEE 2026 Aspirants

If you're planning to take the JEE Main and JEE Advanced exams in 2026, there's crucial information you need to know. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that candidates must ensure their documents are updated prior to applying for the JEE Advanced exam. This notice is vital for all prospective students.

The NTA has specified that all applicants for JEE Main 2026 must update their documentation before they can register. Required documents include the Aadhaar card, UDID card (if applicable), and a valid category certificate.

JEE 2026 Exam Schedule

The JEE 2026 examinations will be conducted in two sessions: the first session is scheduled for January 2026, while the second will take place in April 2026. Candidates can expect the online application form for the first session to be available starting October 2025 at jeemain.nta.nic.in.

Importance of Document Updates

The NTA emphasizes the necessity for students to have all relevant documents updated before the application process begins. Failing to do so may lead to complications during the examination.

This correction process is crucial for students whose details, such as name or date of birth, on their Aadhaar card do not align with their Class 10 certificate.

Key document requirements include:

  • Aadhaar Card: Must display the correct name, date of birth (matching the Class 10 certificate), a recent photo, address, and father's name.

  • UDID Card: For candidates with disabilities, this card should be valid and updated as necessary.

  • Category Certificate: Ensure that this certificate (EWS/SC/ST/OBC-NCL) is current and valid.

Significance of the JEE Exam

The JEE is a national-level examination that opens doors to esteemed engineering institutions such as IITs, NITs, and various other government and private colleges. The examination consists of two parts: JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. Success in the JEE Mains qualifies students to take the JEE Advanced.
