Delhi University ECA Trials Announcement
Delhi University (DU): The university has revealed tentative dates for physical trials related to admissions under the Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) quota. A comprehensive schedule for these trials will be available on the university's admission portal.
It is important to note that candidates will not receive individual notifications regarding trial dates and locations. Therefore, it is essential for candidates to frequently check the DU admission website for updates on trial centers and specific dates for their respective ECA categories.
Required Items for the Trial:
Candidates are required to report to the trial center assigned to their ECA category. They must bring original copies of all ECA certificates submitted during registration, along with the CUET scorecard. Those traveling from outside the city should arrange their own travel and accommodation.
Evaluation Process:
Participants must carry all necessary equipment, musical instruments, costumes, props, or stationery needed for their performance. Sharing or borrowing items with other candidates is strictly prohibited. The university has indicated that there is no specific syllabus for the trials; evaluations will focus on the candidate's talent and performance in their chosen ECA activity.
Trial Regulations:
The assessment committee's decisions regarding evaluation and scoring during the ECA trials are final.
No provisions for grievances or second chances will be available after the trial.
Recording the trial via audio or video is not allowed.
Unauthorized use of mobile phones, electronic devices, the internet, or AI tools may result in the cancellation of a candidate's application.
All candidates participate in the trials at their own risk and responsibility.
No special accommodations will be made for illness or injury during the trials.
ECA categories include Creative Writing, Debate, Dance, Digital Media, Fine Arts, Music, Theatre, Quiz, Divinity, and Yoga.
Creative Writing and Debate Topics: Topics will be disclosed at the time of the trial.
Candidates in Dance, Music, and Theatre should prepare a performance lasting between 3 to 5 minutes. Those in the digital media category must bring their own equipment and samples of their previous work.
During the digital media trial, the use of image editing software, filters, and AI tools is prohibited.
Quiz candidates will be assessed through a written round focusing on current affairs and general knowledge.
The university has stated that requests to change trial dates will only be considered in exceptional cases, such as outstation candidates facing difficulties in securing travel tickets, and will require ECA committee approval. Once the designated trial dates for a category have passed, they will not be rescheduled for any reason, including medical issues.
