Delhi University Admission Update for CBSE Class 12 Re-evaluation Students
Important Update for DU Admissions 2026
Delhi University (DU) has initiated its undergraduate (UG) admission process for the academic year 2026-27. This is particularly relevant for CBSE Class 12 students who have requested re-evaluation of their board exam results and are still waiting for the updated scores.
Guidance for Students Awaiting Re-evaluation Results
For those students who have opted for re-evaluation but have not yet received their revised scores, DU advises them to enter their original marks on the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) 2026 portal. Once the revised results are published, students will have the opportunity to update their scores accordingly.
DU's Assurance to Students
Haneet Gandhi, the Dean of Admissions at DU, reassured students that they should not be concerned about the pending re-evaluation results. The CSAS portal will remain accessible for several weeks, allowing for easy updates once the new scores are available. Furthermore, she emphasized that the CUET (UG) 2026 scores will be the primary criterion for admissions, with Class 12 marks serving only to confirm that students have passed.
Admission Criteria Based on CUET Scores
The university has confirmed that all admissions to undergraduate programs will rely on CUET (UG) 2026 scores. Candidates must also meet specific eligibility requirements for their chosen courses, which are detailed in the university's Information Bulletin for 2026.
Registration Process on the CSAS Portal
Students can register on the CSAS portal using their CUET (UG) 2026 application number. The registration process began on June 26, 2026. This year, DU is offering admissions for 73 undergraduate programs and over 100 BA programs across 67 colleges, with approximately 71,000 seats available for undergraduate courses.
