New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to commence the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations on February 17. Students are advised to verify crucial details beforehand to avoid any last-minute issues.


The board has released the admit cards for registered candidates. Schools can download these admit cards from the official CBSE website for their students.


Details Included in the Admit Card

The admit card contains the following information:



  • Roll Number

  • Date of Birth (for Class 10 only)

  • Exam Name

  • Candidate's Name

  • Mother's Name

  • Father/Guardian's Name

  • Exam Center Name

  • Category for Children with Special Needs (CWSN)

  • Admit Card ID

  • Subjects along with Exam Dates


Important Instructions for Students

Entry Restrictions: No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam center after 10:00 AM. It is essential for students to arrive well in advance.


Dress Code and ID: Candidates must wear their school uniform and carry their school ID, the admit card issued by CBSE, and only permitted stationery items.


Visit the Exam Center: Students should visit the exam center at least one day prior to the exam to ensure timely arrival on the exam day.


Verification of Admit Card: Candidates and their parents/guardians should check all details mentioned on the admit card and verify the photo before signing at the designated place.


Prohibited Items: Mobile phones, smartwatches, electronic devices, or any restricted items are strictly forbidden at the exam center.


Compliance with Rules: Candidates must read and adhere to the instructions provided on the admit card. They should also carefully review the revised rules regarding misconduct as outlined in the CBSE circular.


Social Media Guidelines: Students should refrain from spreading rumors or sharing any exam-related content on social media platforms like WhatsApp, Telegram, YouTube, and Twitter.


Instructions for Schools and Private Candidates

Schools designated as exam centers can start downloading center-related materials for their candidates from today. Private candidates must also download their admit cards.


Considering the schedule for both board and entrance exams, CBSE has ensured sufficient gaps between the exams for subjects typically studied by students in both classes. Additionally, special care has been taken to avoid clashes with the Class 12 entrance exam dates, allowing students to manage both types of examinations more effectively.
