BPSC Cancels Assistant Education Development Officer and APSWMO Exams Due to Malpractice
Examinations Cancelled Amid Malpractice Concerns
The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced the cancellation of the Assistant Education Development Officer (AEDO) and Assistant Public Sanitation and Waste Management Officer (APSWMO) examinations. This decision follows reports of malpractice during the AEDO Competitive Examination, where candidates at various centers were found using Bluetooth devices to cheat. As a result, 32 individuals have been barred from future examinations due to their involvement in these irregularities.
All nine shifts of the AEDO Written (Objective) Competitive Examination, conducted between April 14 and April 21, along with the APSWMO Written (Objective) Competitive Examination held on April 23, have been annulled. However, the BPSC clarified that no evidence was discovered indicating that the question papers for these exams were leaked or circulated improperly. Additionally, no specific question papers from any set were recovered during the investigation.
The BPSC emphasized that while FIRs were filed against candidates caught with Bluetooth devices, various media reports suggested attempts to undermine the examination's integrity at certain locations. To uphold the interests of deserving candidates and maintain a transparent examination process, the decision to cancel these exams was made. The advertisement numbers for the AEDO and APSWMO examinations are 87/2025 and 108/2025, respectively. The BPSC will announce new dates for these examinations in due course.
