Bihar FSO Recruitment 2026: The Bihar Technical Service Commission (BTSC) has initiated the recruitment process for the position of Food Safety Officer (FSO) within the Health Department of the Bihar Government. Applications opened on September 25 and will be accepted until October 24. Interested candidates can apply online via the official BTSC website.


This recruitment drive encompasses various fields including Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Biotechnology, Veterinary Science, Microbiology, and Chemistry.


A total of 105 positions are available for the Food Safety Officer role in Bihar, distributed as follows: 41 for the Unreserved category, 11 for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), 17 for Scheduled Castes (SC), 2 for Scheduled Tribes (ST), 18 for Extremely Backward Classes (EBC), 12 for Backward Classes (BC), and 4 for Backward Class Women.


Educational Requirements


Candidates must hold a recognized degree in one of the following disciplines:



  • MBBS


  • BDS


  • BHMS


  • BUMS


  • BSMS


  • BAMS


  • BSRMS (Sowa-Rigpa)



Other qualifications recognized by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) and approved by the Central Government may also be eligible.


Age Criteria


The age range for applicants is set between 21 and 37 years. Age relaxation will be provided to candidates from reserved categories as per existing regulations.

  3. If you are a first-time applicant, complete the 'New Registration' process, which requires basic information like your mobile number and email.


  4. Log in using the Registration ID and password received after registration.


  5. Fill out the application form with the required details.


  6. Upload your photograph, signature, and necessary documents. The application fee is ₹100.
