Overview of Sainik School Results

The results for the All India Sainik School Entrance Examination for Classes 6 and 9 are anticipated to be announced in March 2026. Students will need their application number and date of birth to access their scorecards.

Awaiting Results

A vast number of candidates who took the All India Sainik School Entrance Examination on January 18, 2026, are eagerly waiting for their results. Following the exam, the National Testing Agency (NTA) published a provisional answer key and allowed students to submit objections. With the resolution of these objections, the final results and answer key are expected to be released soon. Students can check their scorecards online at the official websites: exams.nta.nic.in/sainik-school-society and nta.ac.in.

Expected Release Timeline

Reports indicate that the results for both Class 6 and Class 9 will be available in March. The scorecards will require the application number and date of birth for download. The provisional answer key for both classes was released on February 11, 2026, and candidates had until February 14, 2026, to raise objections at a fee of Rs. 200 per question. Once these objections are addressed, the final answer key and results will be published. The Sainik School Result 2026 will include the student's name, roll number, total marks, subject-wise performance, and qualifying status, while the merit list will feature the application numbers and marks of selected candidates.

Merit List and Cut-Off Criteria

Merely passing the exam does not guarantee admission to a Sainik School. The final selection will rely on a merit list that is categorized by school and student category. Distinct cut-offs may be established for General, OBC, ST, and Defense quotas. Merit will be assessed based on a total of 300 marks for Class 6 and 400 marks for Class 9. After the results are announced, successful candidates must register on the All India Sainik School Admission Counseling portal to select their preferred schools. Allocations will be made based on rank and available seats, with the first allotment list expected by the end of March.

Medical Examination for Admission

Candidates who appear on the merit list will be invited for a medical examination at a designated military hospital. Following the medical assessment and document verification, the final admission process is expected to conclude by April-May 2026.
