Ministers Address Protesting Educators in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: On Saturday, Higher Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj and Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan engaged with teachers who were protesting in Bhubaneswar, promising that the government would soon address their longstanding demands.

Harichandan reassured the educators that the government needed to review and interpret the committee's findings before making any decisions. He urged them to have faith in the government and to end their protest, stating, "Please trust the government, call off the protest and return home."

Minister Suraj also visited the protest site, expressing confidence that the teachers' issues would be resolved soon. He mentioned that the government had already received the committee's report and that steps for intervention were underway.

"We have received 79 reports totaling approximately 800 pages," Suraj noted, adding that a decision would be made shortly. He encouraged the teachers to send a delegation for further discussions, assuring them that their demands would be thoroughly reviewed.

Despite the ministers' assurances, the protesting teachers stated they would maintain their agitation until they received a formal written commitment from the ministers.
