The Western Railway is set to recruit more than 5,000 apprentices without requiring a written examination. The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) has recently published a recruitment notice and is inviting online applications from eligible candidates. Eligibility Criteria for Railway Apprenticeship

Applicants must have completed their Matriculation (10th) under the 10+2 examination system with a minimum of 50% marks.


Additionally, candidates should possess an ITI certificate from an NCVT-recognized institution in relevant trades such as Fitter, Welder, Turner, Mechanist, Wireman, Pipe Fitter, Plumber, Stenographer, etc.


Those awaiting SSC or ITI results are not eligible to apply.


Engineering graduates and diploma holders are also excluded from eligibility.


All candidates must be at least 15 years old and not exceed 24 years of age.


Age relaxation is provided: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and 10 years for PWD candidates, in accordance with the rules.


Steps to Apply for Railway Apprenticeship

To apply online, candidates should visit the official Western Railway website, www.rrc-wr.com.


They will need to provide personal details, including trade, Aadhaar number, marks/CGPA, and division/workshop.


An Aadhaar number is necessary for registration, and candidates must ensure their email address is entered correctly for communication.


After registration, log in to the website and fill in all required details accurately.


During the application process, candidates must upload scanned copies of their 10th-grade marksheet, ITI certificate, caste certificate, and income certificate.


Once all details are filled, pay the application fee based on the category selected in the form.
