Application Process for Medical Technologist Roles



The West Bengal Health Recruitment Board (WBHRB) has commenced the application process for 196 Medical Technologist vacancies. Interested candidates can submit their applications online until November 28, 2025.


An official notification has been issued by the WBHRB regarding the recruitment of Medical Technologists, aimed at filling 196 positions in various government hospitals and health facilities throughout West Bengal. The online application window is now open and will remain so until the specified deadline.


To qualify, applicants must have completed their 12th grade from a recognized educational institution, with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) as their subjects. Additionally, candidates holding a two-year diploma in a relevant discipline or an equivalent qualification are also eligible.


Candidates should be between 21 and 39 years of age. However, there are provisions for age relaxation for candidates belonging to reserved categories. Specifically, SC and ST candidates are eligible for a 5-year age relaxation, while OBC candidates can avail of a 3-year relaxation.


Those who are selected for these positions will receive a monthly salary of ₹28,900, along with additional allowances and benefits in accordance with state government policies.


The application fee is set at ₹210, which must be paid online. It is crucial to note that this fee is non-refundable once it has been submitted.


The selection process will not include a written examination. Instead, candidates will be evaluated based on their academic qualifications, relevant work experience, and performance in an interview. Higher marks and extensive experience will enhance a candidate's likelihood of selection, ensuring a transparent and merit-based process.
