Details on the Selection Process
The forthcoming recruitment notification will outline essential information regarding the selection criteria, educational qualifications, age restrictions, and the application procedure. Eligibility Criteria
As per government guidelines, applicants must have successfully completed the West Bengal Teacher Eligibility Test (WB TET) or possess an equivalent qualification to be eligible for these teaching positions. This recruitment initiative aims to alleviate the teacher shortage in primary and upper primary schools throughout the state, a long-standing demand from the community.


Previous Recruitment Announcements
Earlier, the West Bengal School Service Commission had announced the recruitment of 35,726 teachers for classes 9 to 12. The application period for this recruitment concluded on July 21st. Candidates were required to hold a bachelor's degree along with a B.Ed. degree, with a maximum age limit set at 40 years. Additionally, age relaxation provisions were available for candidates from reserved categories.
