The administration anticipates significant cost savings and enhanced transparency in the educational sector. Learn more about how this model will reshape the examination landscape in Uttar Pradesh.

Introduction to the AKTU Model

A significant overhaul is on the horizon for state universities in Uttar Pradesh, aimed at addressing challenges like cheating and proxy candidates during exams. The newly introduced 'AKTU Model' is set to be rolled out across all universities in the state.

Objectives of the New Model

This technology-driven initiative seeks to eliminate issues such as cheating, paper leaks, and the use of proxy candidates during examinations. The 'AKTU Model' has received official endorsement and will be implemented in all universities, excluding agricultural and medical institutions.

Operational Mechanism of the AKTU Model

Under this model, examination question papers will be sent online, with physical copies printed solely at the examination centers. Additionally, answer sheets will be evaluated digitally within the colleges. To enhance security, barcodes, QR codes, and dummy numbers will be attached to the answer sheets, ensuring their integrity and preventing tampering or loss. Moreover, CCTV cameras and biometric attendance systems will be installed at all examination venues.

Financial Implications and Benefits

The administration claims that this model will save the government crores of rupees. By eliminating the costs related to printing and transporting question papers, as well as reducing expenses during the evaluation process, the AKTU Model is expected to significantly improve transparency in Uttar Pradesh's educational assessments.
