UP Teacher Vacancy: The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Department has officially opened applications today, November 15th, for teacher recruitment. A total of 1,262 positions are available across various subjects including Hindi, English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Science. Interested candidates can submit their applications until December 5th. It has been announced that appointment letters will be issued to successful candidates by January 30, 2026, with appointments scheduled for February. Details regarding reservation policies have also been shared. Applications can be submitted through the official website of the National Informatics Center (NIC).
Reservation Details
What percentage of posts are reserved?
This recruitment round sees 83 percent of the posts unreserved, meaning the general category has the majority of vacancies. Reservations will not apply in schools with fewer than three open positions. Notably, there are no reserved vacancies for disabled individuals, veterans, or freedom fighters this time. Application Process
Candidates can initiate their application by clicking the "Apply Online" link available on the homepage of the website.
After completing the application, ensure to save it by clicking the submit button and accepting the declaration in the online form.
Once saved, candidates must enter their registration number and print the application using the OTP sent to their mobile number.
Only certificates related to educational qualifications, training, experience, caste, special reservations, residence, and no-objection certificates submitted during the 2021 Selection Recruitment Examination will be considered valid.
Eligibility Criteria
Who cannot apply?
Applicants must have been permanent residents of Uttar Pradesh for at least five years prior to the advertisement date of the 2021 Principal/Assistant Teacher Selection Test (01.03.2021).
A male candidate with more than one living wife is ineligible, as is a female candidate married to a man with a living wife.
Individuals expelled from any Union Government, State Government, local authority, or other institutions under their control are also disqualified from applying.
Additionally, anyone convicted in any legal matter will not be eligible for appointment and cannot submit an application.
