Change in School Timings in Prayagraj

As the cold and fog conditions worsen in Uttar Pradesh, the district administration of Prayagraj has opted to modify school hours. This decision prioritizes the health and safety of students. An official directive has been issued by Anil Kumar, the District Basic Education Officer (BSA), following the guidance of District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma.

Per the new order, all educational institutions up to class 8 in Prayagraj, regardless of the board, will now function from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This regulation encompasses all primary, upper primary, and composite schools under the Basic Education Council, including government, aided, and recognized private institutions. Furthermore, schools affiliated with CBSE, ICSE, and other boards must also adhere to this directive.

BSA Anil Kumar has mandated that all school administrators and principals ensure strict adherence to this new schedule. Any school that fails to comply may face necessary actions.

This order will remain in effect until further notice.

The administration has expressed concerns that the severe cold and fog during morning hours pose challenges for young students commuting to school, potentially impacting their health. Therefore, this temporary adjustment in school timings has been put into place. The order will stay active until weather conditions improve, and further updates will be provided. Parents are encouraged to cooperate with the administration's directives and prioritize their children's safety.
