Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment: Over 6 Lakh Applications Submitted Ahead of Deadline
Massive Response for Sub-Inspector Positions
The Uttar Pradesh Police Department is witnessing an overwhelming response for the recruitment of 4,534 sub-inspector positions, with applications exceeding six lakh so far. The deadline for submissions is set for September 11, and officials anticipate that the total number of applications could surpass 20 lakh by that date.
This recruitment initiative is progressing rapidly, and while the final application date is September 11, officials expect a surge in applications during the last week. Both the Police Department and the Recruitment Board are fully prepared to manage this influx.
Introduction of One Time Registration (OTR)
As part of this recruitment drive, the board has implemented a One Time Registration (OTR) system. Candidates can register once and fill in their details, eliminating the need for repeated registrations for different recruitment processes. To date, over nine lakh candidates have utilized this OTR feature.
Additionally, candidates who wish to amend their information can now do so once on the recruitment board's website, enhancing convenience and transparency.
Upcoming Examinations and Preparation
The Police Recruitment Board has announced that the written examination for the sub-inspector positions will take approximately three months to conduct. Candidates are encouraged to begin their preparations promptly.
Next month, a written examination will be held for 930 Computer Operator Grade-A positions, followed by clerical cadre recruitment exams in November. Recruitment is also ongoing for 921 positions, including Sub Inspector (Confidential), Assistant Sub Inspector (Clerk), and Assistant Sub Inspector (Accounts).
Important Dates for Candidates
Candidates should note that the application deadline is September 11, 2025. There is still time to apply, and it is advisable to check for any opportunities to amend OTR details until the last moment. Timely preparation for the written examinations, particularly for the Computer Operator and Sub Inspector roles, is crucial.
