Uttar Pradesh Home Guards: Exciting news has emerged for candidates interested in the Uttar Pradesh Police recruitment for 2025. In a significant update, both male and female Home Guards will now benefit from a three-year extension in the age limit for the direct recruitment of Constable Civil Police and similar positions. This adjustment raises the maximum age limit from 25 to 28 years.
According to Satyarth Anirudh Pankaj, the Additional Secretary (Recruitment), this age relaxation applies to candidates born between July 2, 1997, and July 1, 2007. Previously, all categories had already received a three-year age extension in the police recruitment process, and now Home Guards are included in this provision. A formal notification has been issued by the recruitment board regarding this change.
With this new age relaxation, a greater number of Home Guard volunteers will be eligible to apply for the recruitment process. Interested candidates should refer to the official notification available on the recruitment board's website for comprehensive details.
Selection Process
The recruitment process for UP Home Guards consists of a Physical Standard Test and a Physical Efficiency Test (running).
For Male Candidates:
Minimum Height: 168 cm
Chest: 79 cm (84 cm expanded)
Run: 4.8 kilometers within 28 minutes.
For Female Candidates:
Minimum Height: 152 cm
Minimum Weight: 40 kg
Run: 2.4 kilometers within 16 minutes.
Candidates from the ST (Scheduled Tribe) category will receive additional height and chest measurement relaxations as per regulations.
Duty Allowance and Benefits
Home Guard volunteers will earn a daily allowance of Rs. 600 for their duties, along with periodic dearness allowances. The following districts have the highest number of vacancies:

Educational Requirements
Applicants must have completed at least the 10th grade. The age of candidates should range from 18 to 30 years, with birth dates not earlier than July 1, 1995, and not later than July 1, 2007. Furthermore, candidates from SC, ST, and OBC categories are entitled to a five-year age relaxation.
