Exciting Update for Lekhpal Exam Candidates

Candidates gearing up for the Lekhpal recruitment examination in Uttar Pradesh have received encouraging news as the exam date has been officially confirmed. The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has published the date for the Lekhpal Mains exam through a notice on its official platform. This announcement provides candidates with a definitive timeline to enhance their exam preparation.

The UPSSSC has declared that the Lekhpal Mains exam is scheduled for May 21, 2026. The examination will take place in a single session, running from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

According to the notice, the written examination for the Lekhpal Mains Exam (Pre-AP-2025)/01, as per Advertisement No. 02-Exam/2025, will proceed as planned. Candidates now have roughly two months to refine their study strategies.

Eligibility Criteria for Mains Exam

Eligibility to sit for the Mains exam is restricted to those candidates who have successfully completed the Uttar Pradesh Preliminary Eligibility Test (UP PET) and met the cutoff scores established by the Commission. Only those who pass the cutoff will qualify for the Mains exam, so selected candidates should concentrate on their preparations.

Changes in Exam Pattern

This year's Lekhpal Mains exam will feature a modified pattern compared to previous iterations. Historically, the exam focused on mathematics, general knowledge, Hindi, and rural studies. However, the syllabus has now been broadened to potentially include topics such as data interpretation, computer science, technology, and economics. Candidates must adapt their study plans to accommodate these new subjects.
