The government has issued a formal directive to kickstart the process, accompanied by the Uttar Pradesh State Home Guard Enrollment Guidelines. Importantly, the guidelines stipulate that individuals currently employed in regular positions within public, semi-government, or public sector organizations are not eligible to apply. Eligibility Requirements

Educational Qualification:


Applicants must have completed Class 10 from a recognized board or possess an equivalent qualification sanctioned by the Uttar Pradesh government. Candidates will need to submit their Class 10 mark sheet and certificate as proof of eligibility during the application process.


Age Limit:


The age range for applicants is set between 18 and 30 years. The age will be calculated as of July 1 of the enrollment year. Relaxations in the upper age limit will be granted to candidates from OBC, SC, ST, and other reserved categories, provided they are original residents of Uttar Pradesh.


Selection Procedure

The recruitment process will commence with a 100-mark written examination consisting of objective-type questions. The duration of the exam will be two hours, with the detailed syllabus to be published by UPPRPB. A merit list will be generated based on the written test results to shortlist candidates for subsequent stages.


Physical Examination for Qualified Candidates

Those who pass the written exam will proceed to the next phase, which includes document verification followed by a physical standards test. The physical criteria are clearly defined: the minimum height for general, OBC, and SC male candidates is 168 cm, while female candidates must be at least 152 cm tall and weigh a minimum of 40 kg.
