Details of the Examination
The Uttar Pradesh Joint B.Ed. Entrance Exam 2026 results were made public today. Vandana Singh from Aligarh claimed the top spot in the state. The examination, overseen by Bundelkhand University, Jhansi, saw participation from more than four lakh candidates. The announcement took place during a ceremony at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University in Lucknow, where Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay congratulated the successful candidates via video call, emphasizing the importance of hard work and guidance in achieving academic goals.
Exam Conducted Across Multiple Centers
Bundelkhand University, Jhansi, was tasked with organizing the B.Ed. Entrance Exam 2026, which took place on May 31, 2026. The exam was conducted at 1,011 centers spread across 72 districts in Uttar Pradesh. It was divided into two shifts: the first from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and the second from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. A total of 4,44,958 candidates registered, including 2,72,659 women, 1,72,297 men, and 2 transgender individuals.
Attendance Statistics
In the first shift, 4,00,499 candidates participated, while 4,00,756 attended the second shift, resulting in an overall attendance rate of approximately 90%. The highest attendance was recorded in Kasganj and Pilibhit districts at 95%, whereas Ghaziabad and Gautam Buddha Nagar had an attendance of 84%.
Advanced Monitoring Techniques
To ensure the integrity of the examination, advanced technology was utilized. A command and control room was established for real-time monitoring of all centers, with over 22,000 CCTV cameras installed. Additionally, 5,651 biometric machines were used for candidate identification, employing facial recognition and fingerprint scanning. Unfortunately, the results of four candidates were annulled due to malpractice.
Ranking of Candidates
The results were compiled through double scanning and image processing of OMR sheets, with ranks assigned to 400,107 candidates, including 153,612 males, 246,494 females, and one transgender candidate.
Top Performers
Vandana Singh from Aligarh emerged as the top candidate in the B.Ed. entrance examination (Science stream). Nitin Pachauri from Aligarh secured the second position, while Mishra Khushi Ajay from Jaunpur took third place. The top 10 list included four male and six female candidates.
