Exam Schedule and Centers

**Exam Dates: July 2 to July 4**

The UPTET will be conducted over three days: July 2, 3, and 4. A total of 955 examination centers have been established across 60 districts, with around 19.94 lakh candidates set to take the test. The exams for primary and upper primary levels will occur in two shifts on separate days.

Essential Exam Guidelines

**Rules to Adhere To**

At the exam center, candidates are allowed to bring only black ink ballpoint pens and blank clipboards or hardboards. The following items are strictly forbidden: mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, calculators, pen drives, earphones, ATM cards, and any other electronic gadgets.

Additionally, the use of correction fluid, blades, or erasers on the OMR sheets is prohibited. Answer sheets will be disqualified if incorrect information is provided or if the question booklet serial number is not recorded accurately. Marking multiple circles for a single question will also lead to the answer being marked incorrect.

Security Measures and Exam Format

**Security Protocols and Exam Structure**

Candidates will undergo biometric verification, including iris scans and photographs, at the exam centers. The question papers will be secured with one-time locks and seals, which will be opened 45 minutes before the exam starts. The test will be conducted offline using OMR sheets and will feature 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) to be completed in 150 minutes. Importantly, there will be no negative marking. The minimum qualifying scores are set at 90 for the general category and 82 for the reserved category. Successful candidates will receive UPTET certificates that remain valid for a lifetime.
