The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has opened applications for more than 900 vacancies for the roles of Assistant Statistical Officer (ASO) and Assistant Research Officer (ARO) in Statistics. The application window is currently active, with a closing date set for May 11. Eligible candidates can submit their applications via the Commission's official website.


Out of the total 929 positions available, 916 are allocated for ASO, while 13 are for ARO.


As per the official announcement, May 11 is the last day for both application submission and payment of the application fee. Candidates will have until May 18, 2026, to make minor corrections to their applications and adjust their fee payments. Applicants must be aged between 21 and 40 years.

After registering with their mobile number, candidates can log in and fill out the application form, ensuring all required details are entered before submission.


Exam Pattern for UPSSSC ASO/ARO

The examination for these positions will feature objective-type multiple-choice questions. The test will be worth a total of 100 marks and will consist of 100 questions, with a time limit of 2 hours. Each correct answer will earn one mark, while incorrect answers will incur a penalty of 0.25 marks. The exam will include questions from three subjects: Statistics and Mathematics (65 marks), Computer and Information Technology (15 marks), and General Knowledge of Uttar Pradesh (20 marks).


Selection Process

Candidates will be chosen based on their scores in the Preliminary Eligibility Test-2025. Those who achieve scores that meet the category-wise final cutoff will be invited to participate in the written examination, with up to 15 times the number of vacancies being called for this stage.
