Eligibility and Age Criteria for UP Forest Guard

Eligibility Requirements:

Candidates must have completed the Intermediate Examination (Class 12) from the Board of Secondary Education, Uttar Pradesh, or an equivalent recognized examination. Additionally, participation in the Uttar Pradesh Preliminary Eligibility Test (UP PET 2025) is mandatory.

Age Limit:

Candidates must be at least 18 years old and not older than 40 years as of July 1st. Relaxations in the upper age limit will be provided for candidates from reserved categories. The salary for this position is set within the Level-02 pay scale, ranging from ₹19,900 to ₹63,200.

Physical Requirements for UP Forest Guard

Height and Weight Specifications:

For Male Candidates:

1. General, OBC, and SC categories: Minimum height of 168 cm

2. ST category: Minimum height of 160 cm

3. Chest measurement: 84 cm (unexpanded) for General, OBC, and SC; 82 cm for ST candidates, with a mandatory expansion of 5 cm.

For Female Candidates:

1. Minimum height of 152 cm; 147 cm for ST candidates.

2. Weight must be between 45 to 58 kilograms.

UP Forest Guard Physical Test Details

Physical Test Procedure:

Candidates who pass the Main Written Examination will undergo a Physical Standard Test (PST) followed by a Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Male candidates must complete a 25-kilometer walk/run within 4 hours while carrying a 10 kg weight, while female candidates must complete a 14-kilometer walk/run in the same time frame. This endurance test is essential, but it will not contribute to the final merit list. Successful candidates will then proceed to a Medical Examination.
