Overview of UPSC LDCE 2026



UPSC LDCE 2026: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is set to hold the Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) on March 8, 2026, in New Delhi. This examination aims to recruit Assistant Commandants (Executive) for the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). The online application process has commenced on the official UPSC website.

A total of 20 positions are available, distributed as follows:



  • 16 for General category

  • 3 for Scheduled Castes (SC)

  • 1 for Scheduled Tribes (ST)


This recruitment is exclusively for eligible candidates currently employed in CISF, as per the Ministry of Home Affairs guidelines.


Application Process and Deadline

Application Deadline: December 23, 6 PM


The application window opened on December 3 and will close at 6 PM on December 23. Candidates are advised to complete all sections of the application accurately, as no corrections will be permitted afterward.


Once the online application is completed, candidates must print it, have it verified by the designated officer, and submit it to the CISF Headquarters by January 9 at the following address:

Examination Details

Candidates who achieve the minimum qualifying marks in the written test will be invited for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Medical Standard Test.
