The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced the final results of the Civil Services Examination on Friday afternoon. Anuj Agnihotri achieved the top rank nationwide, while Akansh Dhul from Chandigarh secured an impressive third place through his dedication and hard work.


Akansh Dhul: Son of a BJP Leader

Akansh Dhul is the son of prominent BJP leader Krishna Dhul from Haryana. His remarkable achievement has brought joy to his family and the entire state. Krishna Dhul shared a photo from Akansh's interview last December, wishing him blessings and good luck for his future.


Educational Background in Chandigarh

Akansh completed his early education in Chandigarh, finishing his 10th grade at Bhavan Vidyalaya in Sector 27 and his 12th grade at St. Kabir Public School in Sector 26. He later moved to Delhi for higher studies, where he earned a BA Honors degree from the prestigious Shri Ram College of Commerce.


Success After Multiple Attempts

After completing his graduation, Akansh began preparing for the UPSC exams while residing in Delhi. This was his third attempt; he previously ranked 342nd in 2024 and 295th in 2025. His perseverance paid off as he finally secured a spot in the top three this time.


Total Candidates Selected

According to the UPSC notice, a total of 958 candidates have been selected this year. This includes 317 from the General category, 104 from EWS, 306 from OBC, 158 from SC, and 73 from ST categories.
