Eligibility Criteria

Who Can Apply?
Generally, candidates must possess a bachelor's degree from a recognized university. Specific qualifications are required for certain positions:

Age Limit

Age Requirements: The age of candidates will be calculated as of July 1, 2026. Relaxation in age will be provided for candidates from reserved categories as per the rules.

Selection Process

Selection Stages: The selection will occur in three phases:


  1. Preliminary Examination (Prelims)
  2. Main Examination (Mains)
  3. Interview


Preliminary Examination: This will consist of two compulsory papers, with CSAT being a qualifying paper requiring a minimum of 33% marks.

Physical Standards

Physical Requirements: Certain positions, such as DSP, Jail Superintendent, and Excise Inspector, have specific physical standards. For example, male candidates for the DSP role typically need to be at least 165 cm tall.


Application Process

OTR Requirement: Candidates must obtain a One-Time Registration (OTR) number from the official portal before applying. This must be done at least 72 hours prior to application submission.


Application Steps: The application process consists of four stages:


  1. Verification through OTR number, which will auto-fill personal details.
  2. Filling in additional required information, including address and educational qualifications.
  3. Online payment of the application fee via net banking, debit/credit card, or UPI.
  4. Final submission of the application form and keeping a printout for reference.


Important Notes: Candidates should be meticulous while completing the application form. Providing false information may lead to application cancellation or a ban from future examinations for up to five years. All original documents must be presented during verification.
