UPESSC Assistant Professor Interview Details
Interview Schedule Released: The UP Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has unveiled the interview timetable for filling 910 Assistant Professor vacancies across 33 disciplines, as per Advertisement No. 51. Dr. Prashant Kumar, the Commission Chairman, stated that the written exams took place on April 18 and 19, 2026, with results announced on June 9, 2026. Interviews for the 3,155 candidates who passed the written test are scheduled from July 21, 2026, to August 13, 2026.
Interview Dates:
The interviews will occur on the following dates: July 21 (Tuesday) – Economics; July 22 (Wednesday) – Botany and Philosophy; July 23 (Thursday) – Chemistry; July 24 (Friday) – English; July 28 (Tuesday) – Agricultural Economics, Anthropology, and Geography; July 29 (Wednesday) – Physics and Psychology; July 30 (Thursday) – Painting, Sanskrit, and Urdu; July 31 (Friday) – Ancient History, Military Science, and Music (Vocal). Further, interviews will be held on August 4 (Tuesday) – Education and History; August 5 (Wednesday) – Animal Husbandry & Dairy Science, Music (Tabla), Physical Education, and Zoology; August 6 (Thursday) – Law and Political Science; August 7 and 11 – Hindi; August 7 – Mathematics; August 12 (Wednesday) – Asian Culture, Horticulture, Music (Sitar), Sociology, and Statistics; and August 13 (Thursday) – Commerce and Home Science.
Admit Card Download:
Dr. Prashant Kumar has announced that candidates who passed the written examination can begin downloading their interview admit cards from June 29, 2026, via the Commission's official website, www.upessc.up.gov.in. It is important to note that the interview process is contingent upon the decisions made in the order dated April 17, 2026, in Special Appeal No. 368/2026 (*Harvinder Singh & Others vs. State of U.P. & Others*) in the High Court, as well as the order dated May 25, 2026, in Special Leave Petition (Diary No. 23758/2026) (*Dheeraj Chandani vs. State of U.P. & Others*) filed in the Supreme Court.
