RRB Technician Exam Schedule 2026: Candidates preparing for the Railway Technician recruitment exam should note the revised exam dates. The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced changes to the exam schedule for Technician Grade-I Signal and Technician Grade-III positions. Initially set for March 5th to 9th, 2026, the exams will now take place on March 6th, 9th, 10th, and 13th, 2026. Ensure you are prepared to take the exam on these new dates.
This recruitment drive by RRB is for more than 6,000 vacancies, including 183 positions for Technician Grade-I Signal and 6,055 for Technician Grade-III. Exam Format for Railway Technician Recruitment:
The Railway Technician recruitment exam will feature 100 questions covering General Awareness, Intelligence and Reasoning, Basic Computer Applications, Mathematics, and Basic Science and Engineering. A significant portion of the questions will focus on Basic Science and Engineering. Be aware that negative marking will be in effect, meaning points will be deducted for incorrect answers. To qualify for the CBT-1 exam, candidates must achieve the following minimum scores: General candidates need 40%, OBC candidates require 30%, SC candidates must score at least 30%, and ST candidates need 25%.
