Upcoming Admit Card Release: The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) is set to issue the admit card for the Sub-Inspector (SI) Recruitment Exam 2026 shortly. Candidates who have submitted their applications have been eagerly waiting for this announcement. The written examination is scheduled for March 14 and 15, 2026, across various centers in the state.


More than 150,000 candidates are expected to participate in this examination. The admit card is anticipated to be available on the official website, uppbpb.gov.in, during the first week of March. This recruitment initiative aims to fill 4,543 positions, enhancing the law enforcement framework in the state.


Exam Schedule:
The examination will take place over two days, divided into two shifts each day. Candidates will receive detailed information regarding their shift timings and exam locations on their admit cards. The exam will occur on March 14 (Saturday) and March 15 (Sunday), 2026.


Required Items for Exam Day:
To ensure a smooth examination process, candidates must bring the following items:



  • A printed copy of the admit card


  • A valid photo ID (such as Aadhaar card, PAN card, or Voter ID)


  • Two recent passport-sized photographs


  • A transparent pen (if specified)



Note: Electronic devices including mobile phones, smartwatches, and Bluetooth gadgets are strictly prohibited at the exam venue.


Selection Process Overview:
The recruitment for Sub-Inspector consists of multiple stages:



  1. Written Exam:
    This will utilize an OMR sheet format, with questions covering General Hindi, General Knowledge, Law/Constitution, and Reasoning Ability.
    Total Marks: 400
    Total Questions: 160
    Duration: 2 hours


  2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
    Male candidates must complete a 4.8 km run in 28 minutes, while female candidates must finish a 2.4 km run in 16 minutes.


  3. Physical Standard Test (PST) and Document Verification


  4. Medical Examination



Final selections will be based on successful completion of all stages.

2. Locate the admit card link in the Notices or Latest News section on the homepage.
3. Enter your registration number and date of birth.
4. Complete the captcha and submit.
5. Download and print the admit card shown on the screen.
