UP Police Constable Recruitment Update: Physical Test Rescheduled

An important update has emerged regarding the UP Police Constable recruitment process for 2026. The Physical Efficiency Test for candidates who passed the written exam has been rescheduled at nine centers due to weather conditions. While the test at these centers will now take place on October 8, other centers will proceed as planned on October 1. UP Police Constable Recruitment 2026


Important Announcement: A significant update has been issued for candidates participating in the recruitment for 32,679 constable positions within the Uttar Pradesh Police. The Physical Efficiency Test (running test) for those who passed the written examination will not occur on the initially planned date at specific centers. Due to the unprepared conditions caused by recent rainfall, the running test set for October 1 at nine centers has been postponed to October 8. However, the test will continue as scheduled at other centers.


**Rescheduled Tests at Nine Centers**
As per the Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, the running test originally planned for October 1 has been rescheduled to October 8 at nine locations. These centers include:


  • 12th Battalion PAC Fatehpur
  • 8th Battalion PAC Bareilly
  • 9th Battalion PAC Moradabad
  • 26th Battalion PAC Gorakhpur
  • 37th Battalion PAC Kanpur
  • 6th Battalion PAC Meerut
  • 47th Battalion PAC Ghaziabad
  • 39th Battalion PAC Mirzapur

Candidates assigned to these locations must report for the running test on October 8.


It is crucial to highlight that the test dates remain unchanged for all candidates. The running test will proceed as planned at the other six examination centers starting October 1, including:


  • 35th Battalion PAC Lucknow
  • Dr. Shakuntala Misra University, Lucknow

Therefore, candidates should confirm their examination center and date according to their admit cards and the details provided by the recruitment board.


**Total Candidates for the Running Test**
A total of 67,724 candidates who passed the written examination will now take part in the running test. The Police Recruitment Board is set to conduct this phase with advanced security measures in place. Security and surveillance protocols are being established to ensure the integrity of the test.


**High Number of Applicants**
Approximately 2,886,000 individuals applied for the UP Police Constable recruitment. Out of these, over 2.2 million candidates participated in the written examination. Those who succeed in this physical efficiency test will advance to the next stage of the recruitment process.
