Medical Examination and Character Verification Schedule



The medical examination and character verification for candidates selected in the UP Home Guards Enrollment-2025 will start on October 12, 2026. Candidates must report to the Police Lines in their respective home districts for this process. The verification will take place at the designated Police Lines, and candidates are required to attend at the specified date and time mentioned in their call letters. Only the date and time indicated in the call letter will be recognized as valid.


Reporting Time for Candidates

Selected candidates are expected to arrive at their district Police Lines by 9:00 AM on the assigned day. Timeliness is crucial, and candidates should follow all instructions outlined in their call letters.


Required Documents for Verification

Candidates must bring original documents along with the necessary copies. The required documents include:



  • The original call letter from the District Commandant, Home Guards

  • All essential original certificates and documents

  • Photocopies of the required documents

  • At least 10 recent passport-sized photographs

  • A character certificate in the prescribed format

  • A notarized affidavit on ₹10 stamp paper in the required format


Identity Verification Process

During the identity verification, candidates must cooperate fully. This may include attendance recording, signature collection, and thumb impressions. Compliance with all instructions from the department and medical board is mandatory.


Appealing Medical Examination Results

If a candidate is deemed unfit during the medical examination and wishes to contest this decision, they must file an appeal with the Divisional Medical Board in the prescribed format on the same day. Conversely, candidates found fit must submit all original documents necessary for character verification.


Importance of Disclosing Criminal Records

Candidates are required to disclose complete and accurate information regarding any criminal cases against them. This includes details of registered cases, pending cases, convictions, and acquittals. The Board opened online applications for Home Guard positions on November 18, 2025, receiving a total of 2,532,196 applications. The written examination took place on April 25, 26, and 27, 2026, with results announced on October 3. A total of 41,424 candidates were selected to fill the vacancies across 75 districts in the state, including 8,290 female candidates.
